As seen in the above picture, the mentioned title is called meta title and below it is the designated URL. The recommended character count is 60 to make it SEO optimized properly.
The description mentioned below is the meta title. The description allows the user to read what is in the designated URL. Add keywords within, that way if someone searches for something that has your URL within, your website’s URL will show up.
As shown in the picture above, the description refers to the content that is within the destination URL. The recommended character count is 160. In case your character count surpasses the recommended count, Google will save that, but anything after 160 counts will not be shown.
These are similar pages that have the same content or the same material shown. I will give you an example, suppose your business website is services based. Usually what will happen is your website’s home page will have similar information to other pages, let’s say services page. In Google’s language, they are 02 separate pages on the internet that share the same information, and so, when crawled upon, Google will downgrade your website ranking due to duplicacy of content.
So, to avoid that from happening, we simply enable the canonical tags option within the mentioned plugin.
These are the URLs of your website which you do not want Google to index and show on their search list. These links include your privacy policies, terms & conditions, checkout page, cart page, etc. Sure these pages will be available on your website and everyone can use them, but they will not show up on Google. This is a good sign for privacy as well as security matters.
